These Terms of Service and Privacy Policy (collectively, the “Policy”) form an agreement between you (the “User,” “Customer,” or “you”) and Streaming Cloud Media Co., Ltd. (串流雲網路媒體有限公司) (“KKLANG,” the “Company,” “we,” or “us”). This Policy applies to the KKLANG website, account system, AI-powered real-time interpretation, live captions, speech synthesis, recording, subtitle files, cloud listening, and related functions (collectively, the “Service”).
By registering, affirmatively accepting this Policy, purchasing credits, or using the Service, you acknowledge that you have read and agreed to this Policy. A person under 18 may use the Service only after a parent or legal guardian has reviewed and agreed to this Policy.
2. Account and Email Verification
The Service uses your email address for account identification and sign-in verification. To sign in, you must enter your email address and complete verification using a one-time code sent by the Company.
- You must provide an accurate email address that you can access.
- You are responsible for safeguarding your email account, devices, and verification codes, and must not share verification codes with others.
- You are responsible for unauthorized use resulting from your failure to secure them, except to the extent attributable to the Company.
- You must promptly notify us if you discover unauthorized access.
3. Nature of the Service
The Service uses artificial intelligence, automated speech recognition, machine translation, speech synthesis, streaming, and cloud computing to provide real-time interpretation, captions, cloud listening, event recording, and SRT subtitle files.
We may adjust interfaces, functions, or technical configurations for security, maintenance, capacity, third-party service changes, or operational needs. We will use reasonable efforts to provide notice of a material change that adversely affects existing Customers.
4. Customer Content, Recordings, and SRT Files
“Customer Content” includes audio, speech, text, custom glossaries, captions, translations, SRT files, and related information transmitted, uploaded, or generated through your use of the Service.
- Ownership: You and the applicable rights holders retain all pre-existing rights in Customer Content. The Company does not acquire ownership of Customer Content merely by providing the Service.
- Limited processing permission: You authorize the Company to transmit, temporarily store, store, convert, recognize, translate, synthesize, stream, generate files from, and technically support Customer Content only as necessary to provide the Service.
- Recordings and subtitle files: Depending on the functions used, the Service records event audio and generates SRT or other subtitle files for Customer download and management.
- Customer deletion: Customers may delete recordings and subtitle files through available account functions. After deletion from the primary service environment, copies may remain for a limited period in security, disaster recovery, or rotating backups and will be removed according to the applicable backup cycle.
- Operational metrics: We may use operational information that does not include Customer speech or text content and does not reasonably identify a person, such as usage minutes, latency, error rates, and system load, for security, billing, troubleshooting, and service reliability.
Retention: Recordings and subtitle files are retained according to account settings, the selected service, or the retention period shown in the Service. Customers should download any files they wish to preserve. If a different retention period is displayed on a system page, the period shown on that page at the time the Customer used the Service shall prevail.
5. Notices to Participants and Rights Clearance
You must have a lawful basis and all permissions necessary to transmit, record, transcribe, translate, store, and download Customer Content. You are responsible for providing legally required notice to, or obtaining consent from, speakers, hosts, staff, attendees, and other affected persons.
If an event may capture personal data, copyrighted material, trade secrets, confidential information, or other protected content, you must ensure that its collection and use are lawful. You are responsible for disputes arising from your failure to obtain required rights, authorizations, or consent, except to the extent attributable to the Company.
6. AI Limitations and Human Review
Important: AI interpretation, captions, and synthesized speech may contain delays, omissions, recognition errors, mistranslations, semantic deviations, or terminology errors. They are not a guaranteed substitute for professional human interpretation.
Output quality may be affected by audio equipment, background noise, accents, speaking speed, overlapping speakers, network conditions, terminology, context, and model limitations. We do not warrant that AI output will be completely accurate, complete, timely, uninterrupted, or fit for a particular purpose.
You must arrange appropriate human review, professional personnel, and backup measures based on the importance of the event. Unreviewed AI output must not be used as the sole basis for medical, legal, financial, emergency, personal-safety, major transaction, contractual, or other high-risk decisions.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Company is not liable for misunderstandings, transaction disputes, incorrect decisions, lost revenue, or other losses caused by reliance on AI output that has not been reviewed by a qualified person.
7. Prohibited Conduct
You may not:
- violate applicable law, infringe rights, or record or transmit third-party content without authorization;
- upload malware, disrupt the Service, circumvent security controls, or gain unauthorized access;
- use bots, scrapers, scripts, or automated methods to excessively extract, test, or abuse the Service;
- impersonate another person, provide fraudulent transaction information, or use the Service for fraud; or
- use the Service for prohibited activities or uses creating serious risks to persons or public safety.
Where we reasonably believe that you have violated this Policy or applicable law, we may issue a warning, restrict functions, suspend, or terminate the account. We may act without advance notice in urgent or serious cases.
8. Pay-as-you-go Credits, Usage Charges, and Refunds
- Billing model: The Service uses prepaid, pay-as-you-go credits deducted based on actual usage. There is no automatic renewal or recurring charge.
- Prices and deductions: Credit value, available usage, billing units, calculation methods, and covered functions are shown before payment and in the account dashboard.
- Usage records: You should promptly contact us regarding a disputed deduction. We will review system records, service logs, and relevant information.
- Tax documents: We issue applicable tax or transaction documents using the company name, uniform business number, and other information provided by the Customer.
- Nature of credits and refund rules:
- Credits are a right-to-use voucher for the Service. They have no cash value and, except with the Company's consent or as otherwise required by mandatory law, may not be transferred or redeemed for cash.
- Unused free promotional credits become void if the account is terminated for breach of this Policy.
- Refund calculation and limitations: If the Company agrees, or applicable law requires, a refund of a paid credit package, the refund amount equals the total amount paid for that package, minus the original face value of credits already used (calculated at 1 credit = NT$1), and minus a refund processing fee equal to the greater of 10% of the refund amount or NT$300. Once a refund request is accepted, all promotional bonus credits granted with that purchase are immediately voided in full. If the original face value of credits already used exceeds the total amount paid, no refund will be issued.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Company is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, including loss of profit, opportunity, reputation, data, or business interruption. 18. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold the Company harmless from any claims, damages, or expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from your Customer Content, your violation of this Policy, or your violation of third-party rights.
